House of Light, 2000

This is a place worth staying if you are in Japan. House of Light by artist James Turrell and architect Daigo Ishii was constructed in traditional sukiya style, with a pillared verandah and gently slanting gabled and hipped roofs. The house glows against the darkening sky.
