Although its nested a short drive from the Portuguese shores of the Atlantic Ocean, the Villa Além in Alentejo feels worlds removed from any body of water. There’s a certain dry charm about the home, which was designed by local architect Valerio Olgiati, and Olgati concedes that this idea of displacement was key in the blueprints.
