Emplacement
The land in question is situated in consolidated urban land in the municipality of La Lastrilla, an urbanization known as “El Sotillo” located on the outskirts of the city of Segovia. It is a parallelepiped with an average of 18.50 m and 26.75 m short side length, with the public road bordering on all services. It has an area of 535 square meters.

Description of Project
Urban, housing is configured as isolation from the environment, requiring minimum setbacks for 2 to 3 m, is configured to plot against a structure – steel fence enclosing granite stone rush cabinets and doors pedestrian and vehicle entry. This front is based on the 2nd floor of the apartment that looks out over the structure through a large square window that brings light and views to the library of the house.

Volumetrically, the building is distributed 30% of the solar surface, the 2nd floor is recessed leaving the surface of the terrace, and increasing lack of garden space. This makes L-shaped housing is open to the south and to the mountains views.

Spatially, housing is a reflection of the volume inside. A double height on the ladder helps shape every space inside and functionally while helping to introduce light to the darkest spaces near the north facade. It takes into account the idea of a visual interior and how to create a spatial order to convey a sense of visual range extended with the vision of garden and solarium.

Constructively, it establishes a connection to place materials adapted to the formal and spatial ideas and rapid project implementation work: in situ concrete structure, cladding thermoclay block, which supports the ventilated facade of granite. The windows are made of Aluminum with TPR, and wooden shutters.
