Covered with black bricks on the outside, John Pawson\u2019s \u2018Life House\u2019 welcomes the guests with brightness and soft colors in the interior. Acknowledged for his minimalistic aesthetics, the British architect once again created a generous and balanced space, this time located in central Wales.<\/b><\/p>\n

Commissioned by Living Architecture, John Pawson spent nearly five years working on this simple yet refined retreat and making it a perfect space to ease one\u2019s mind and find the serenity. Influenced by Japanese design and the architecture of Benedictine monks, the architect consulted with the philosopher Alain de Botton to develop the concept.
