Having many children is almost sacrilege or a crime there. I grew up in Tokyo back in the &#8217;70s with my four siblings and felt almost ashamed of our family &#8211; all of my friends were either a single child or had only a brother or sister. You have to be a little crazy to have many children (especially boys) in Japan, and I think I&#8217;m seeing a perfect example here.
